Parish Suggestions

This program is flexible and can be done in many ways here are a few suggetions:

At Home Only Program:
Create a schedule for the year with topics listed for weeks you want you parents to participate
Direct your families to the landing page for The Way at: www.diokzoo.org/theway
Each week families participate in the program at home
Create a document, form, or template for parents to use to document the work done (see example)
Have parents connect with a catechist once a month (or more) to discuss work being done
Connect with catechists to verify program is being followed and to follow up with any issues

In Class With Students:
Create a schedule for the year and which weeks topics will be covered by all grade levels
Have cateshists prepare by watching video and reading through the grade specific and extra page
Have catechists prepare lessons and activities for classes
Ask families to participate in the Pray and Live portion onine
Let families know the schedule so they can follow along and learn online if they desire

In Class With Parents:
Create a schedule for the year and which weeks topics will be covered by all grade levels
Show the video to all parents
Break parents into groups to discuss how best to present to their students
Bring back to large group to disuss any questions or concerns
Have parents turn in work done with kids at each class

Hybrid
Either of the In Class sessions could be modified to meet once a month and do the rest at home

Other Ways:
Be creative.  The material is there.  It is flexible, esay to use, and adjustable to your needs.
