Rev. Richard Altine has voluntarily resigned as Pastor of Holy Maternity of Mary (Dowagiac), Holy Family (Decatur), St. Gabriel (Berrien Springs), Sacred Heart of Mary (Silver Creek), and St. Anthony (Buchanan) Parishes, as well as Dean of the Southern Deanery, and has temporarily withdrawn from public ministry effective as of October 22, 2018.

This past Friday, September 21, 2018, we learned that the Michigan Attorney General’s Office announced Mr. Schuette’s intention to conduct an investigation into the handling of clergy sexual abuse allegations by the Catholic Church within the seven dioceses of Michigan, going back as far as 1950.
