The return to the public celebration of the Mass began May 27, 2020. Check your Parish website for specific information on Mass times. The dispensation from the Sunday obligation remains until further notice. The faithful are strongly encouraged to participate in Masses that are broadcast via television and internet, including our own Diocesan live-stream Mass, and to make a devout Spiritual Communion.

You can make a Spiritual Communion whenever and wherever using a prayer like the one below or another like it.

I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.

- Facebook Live – This is a great tool to use to stay connected to your Parish family. Good uses could be short messages from the Pastor, praying the Angelus at Noon as well as streaming Mass.
- myParish App – many of the Parishes have this and it’s a good time to promote. If you have Diocesan as your bulletin provider then you can have myParish App at no additional cost.
- Zoom – video teleconferencing services. This is a great tool to use for remote meetings. It’s free if meetings are limited to less than 40 minutes. There’s a nominal charge afterwards.
- Enewsletters: Now’s the time to send information via email. We recommend MailChimp, Poppulo, Constant Contact.
- Flocknote – Texting service; can also send emails. First 40 contacts are free.
- Pray: Ask Parishioners to specifically pray for one another by name; use your Parish Directory as a resource. Agree to one time during the day that everyone will stop and pray.
- Card campaign: Send encouraging cards, notes and letters to fellow parishioners, especially those who live alone. Have families adopt other parishioners to connect with on a weekly basis.
- Phone Tree: Create a phone tree with interested parishioners to spread parish updates quickly or to check in with each other while practicing social distancing.
- Website: Keep you Parish website up-to-date with latest news on possible Mass and event cancelations, and to promote any new communication tools you choose to implement such as an e-newsletter or mobile app.
