Starting with the 2018-2019 school year Catechist Certification will be done through the Institute of Missionary Discipleship.

Catechetical Institute of Franciscan University of Steubenville

The Diocese of Kalamazoo has partnered with the Catechetical Institute of Franciscan University of Steubenville to provide FREE online courses for Catechist Certification. Sign up through your parish by going to the registration tab at http://www.IMDisciple.com. Then go to Franciscan University Catechetical Institute.

Maintaining Certification

1. Each year the catechist must complete 5 hours of content-rich sessions.
2. There will be a list of approved classes on the website.  Any material on Franciscan University Catechetical Institute can count toward these hours.
